The two courses are:
Information Technology and Teacher Education - taught by Jerry Willis who
is Professor of Instructional Technology at the University of Houston
Technology, Teachers, and Schools: Facilitating the Process of Change
and Diffusion - taught by Brent Robinson who is University Lecturer in
Information Technology in Education at Cambridge University
Who Should Participate?
Teacher education faculty, graduate students interested in the topic
of technology and teacher education, leaders in K-12 and higher education
interested in the process or technology diffusion and anyone interested in
either in-service or pre-service preparation of teachers to use technology.
Credit
Participants may receive two types of credit. Graduate students who wish
may receive 3 semester hours of graduate credit for each course through the
University of Houston. Also, all who successfully complete the courses will
receive a Certificate of Further Professional Study awarded by the Cambridge
University Institute of Education.
Costs
Arrangements have been made for participants to stay in residence at
Cambrdige University at attractive rates that include two meals a day.
Those who wish to receive graduate credit will pay normal fees to the
University of Houston. The course fee for other participants is $500 per
course.
