What this is demonstrating is that the diskette had a bad sector on it.
The first file contained this sector, so the second copy of the file was
placed, apparently, on good diskette sectors. Had you emptied the trash
first, the second copy would probably have been placed onto the same
sectors as the first, resulting in the error again.

The longer term solution is to reinitialize a floppy disk that's having
problems. If the reinitialize fails, throw the disk away.
