There's an excellent free resource called "First Train for the Internet".
It's in the form of a Windows help file. When installed it takes up
about 3 Megabytes on your hard disk. It covers everything from choosing
an ISP to Nettiquite to Software to you name it. There are also
commercial versions that are even more full-featured.
