To those who wanted information about video editing with computer
graphics...
My system is a linear format using Panasonic AG 1980 editing VCRs (two)
going through a Video Toaster 2.0 (Amiga) with AmiLink 2.0 for the editing
program.
This has everything we need at school, even though I would like to upgrade
to the Video Toaster 4.0 (they will make a PC version soon) that is
non-linear. I don't think I have $15,000 to play with however.
Videonics makes a character generator and a switcher which run around $4000
together that will do the same thing if you want a linear system that is
cheaper. They also make (which is new) an Edit Suite that can employ A/B
roll editing. The learning curve on this thing is extremely high.
Hope I helped everyone who asked.
