On Guard 2.0 from Power On Software is by far the best desktop security
program. I've used disEase and FoolProof in school lab situations.
Neither are satisfactory.

ON Guard is great. On a network one can sit at one machine add a new user
of change privileges and "save to the network" all machine now have the
same new setting.
