** You need to buy an ethernet to appletalk conversion box for the
printers. One side attaches to the ethernet and the other side daisey
chains the printers with appletalk connectors. Dayna makes one as do
others. Check in MacWarehouse or MacZone, CDW catalogs. It works easier if
the printers are physically close to each other to minimize the appletalk
cable runs. Of course, you will need AppleTalk connector boxes for each
printer, which you already have. Make sure you buy a unit that will support
the number of printers you have or anticipate. We have 5 printers, but the
Dayna box supports only four printers.
There is a patch from Apple, I think, that let's the Laserwriter be
hooked to a mac and be seen and used by the rest of the network also.That
way we have the HPs on the Dayna and the laser on the mac. **
