I am presently using a Hayes Accura 288 V.34+Fax on a Macintosh IIsi with
no trouble. The software the came with it with a nice on-line manual is
MacComCenter. I have not used the software and instead I am using
Z-Term, a very good shareware program.
I use a SupraFax Modem LC (14.4, Hayes Compatable) on my IIsi at work.
The two modems were less than $200. Since purchasing them over a year
ago I've seen cheaper prices (naturally).
Good Luck,
