I am a 4/5 time tech. specialist in a non-public elementary school k-5,
230 kids. I work with one other Tech. Specialist (6-12), full-time. We
coordinate the program in a school of 560 kids K-12. We are responsible
for teacher training, machine maintenance, sofware recommendations, parent
newletters, parent questions and system maintenance for our LAN as well as
our T1 line internet node. I only teach 1 scheduled class a day to high
school kids. The rest of the time, I schedule elementary classes in as
requested by classroom teachers on regular weekly basis to integrate
tehcnology into their curriculum. This is the first year of my job. I
have a new lab with 6 pmacs, 5 powerbooks that float around the building
(and go to teachers at night), a color scanner, a connectix video eye, a
digital camera (QuickTake), color HP printer and laserwriter BW printer.
The lab is located proximal to the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade classrooms and
they run in and out all day as they need to.

All students have access to netscape but do not yet hav e-mail accounts.
We have an AUP.
