I am somewhat confused. Are you sure that you mean NONFICTION? A couple of
excellent nonfiction books would be David MacCauley's "Pyramid" or the
Ancient Egypt title in the Usborne Ancient History series. I believe that
Daniel Cohen may also have written a book about mummies. In the fiction
genre, Zilpha Keatley Snyder has written "The Egypt Game", a contemporary
mystery story that would be fun to read with middle schoolers. You could
discuss the children's preconceptions about Egypt as opposed to what they
have learned about the culture and history.
