Any external modem that works with an IBM can be used with a Mac. All you
need is appropriate software (there are many freeware and shareware
choices, as well as some very good commercial offerings) and the correct
handshaking cable (for high speed modems). There is no hardware difference
in the external modems, they are exactly the same.
