Claris Works and authoring programs

Hello. I hope some of you can help me. I will be doing a workshop on
multimedia software for high school and community college faculty. My
co-presenter will be demonstrating PowerPoint and I plan to address
non-linear presentation programs like Compel and Astound, and authoring
tools like HyperStudio and possibly Authorware. I would appreciate input on
the following:

1. Do you know of any good materials explaining the differences between
authoring and presentation software? Have you seen a good matrix of the
different program's features?

2. Several members of the audience use Claris Works. I have never worked
with it. Can it be used as an authoring tool, presentation, both?

Thanks in advance.
