Phone lines

I need to get your help from this group.
Has anyone been able to use a modem with a telephone
system that has multiple lines. Our High School
uses the rotating lines on their phone system.
It is creating problems on how to connect
computers/modem to access the Internet.
Is the only option to have new lines ran?
