My name is Roxanne Gerardo. I am a computer teacher for grades K-8 and I
am a grad student at William Paterson College in NJ studying Educational
Technology. One requirement is that I create a web page for new teachers.
This is something I would have *loved* to have had myself. Along with
research areas, access to listservs, and curriculum areas, I plan to have
an "encouragement" area.
Here's where you all come in. If you can direct me to current web sites
that might have something useful in this area, or better yet, give me
your own contributions (spread the word around the teacher's rooms)
I would love to include them. I am looking for advise, humor, "tricks of
the trade", horror and sucess stories, quotes, and anything you might have
wished you had as a new teacher. The page should be completed by June and
it will be entitled "New Teacher's Grove" part of William
Paterson College's web site. (hopefully, if it gets approved)I would
really appreciate *any* suggestions to make this as useful a site as
possibe. I will follow up on this list with final details. Thanks in advance,
