In regard to your 5200CD changing screen colors, mine was doing the same
thing. I took it to an Apple authorized service center and was told the
computer needed a new deflection board. It was replaced about two weeks
ago and the problem has cleared. The only sound problems I've had are
some multimedia CDs play scratchy sound. I recommend getting a new
deflection board for the screen color changes. I hope this helps.
