I use and recommend the F-Prot shareware version for msdos level
protection. It's resident (TSR) program VIRSTOP is small, works well and may be
configured to lock the system on detection of a problem. It has
detected for us, the virus's mentioned recently on this list.

The scanning/cleaning application F-PROT, is menu driven and works
well. Included documentation discusses practical difficulties of
virus removal, which although simple in theory should not always be
assumed to be a trivial job.

Free for personal use of students and teachers
Site licence $1.00 per computer for non-personal use
Educational discount of 25 %
Updates are posted to the Internet regularly, (every month or two)

The F-Prot professional version is a separate product.
