Eudora Light use with a modem?

I just downloaded Eudora Light for school, and it works GREAT!
We are thrilled, because we couldn't dl, ul or save with the
Telnet connections we have...don't ask why--the admin. at
Virginia Pen can't even figure it out!!!

I would like to use it at home too, although I am getting "out"
through a modem connection instead of a direct phone line. I
am not sure what to do with the settings, or if I can even use
it (I think it is possible), but every time I try to get my
mail, I get a message that I need winsock.dll.

Can any of you out there help? Thanks! All my documentation
is still at school, and I want to "play" with it this weekend!
