I used to have a devil of a time moving some of my more complex
routines between GWBASIC and BASICA. However, this is certainly
worth a try, especially if there's a chance that you might have to
maintain (i.e., modify) the code later.
Otherwise, John Wm. Ridge's suggestion about finding a BASICA
compiler is probably best. You'd have to KEEP that old 8086
around if you thought you'd have to update the code, but otherwise,
an .EXE is an .EXE....
