Lab printing costs

I'm looking for some information to help me estimate costs for replacing
inkjet cartridges in a lab setting. This is a university lab with 15
computers which gets moderate use about 45 hrs per week (the lab is rarely
more than half full). I'm contemplating replacing dot-matrix printers
with 4 inkjet printers. Can anyone give me some ideas about what I might
expect to be spend per month for replacing/refilling the ink cartridges?

Also, I'd appreciate any money saving tips for cartridge replacement or
refilling.
