The best server software is WebStar. It is real easy to use. To be a node
on the internet you will have to have continuous presence on the net...
your computer running all the time and hooked to a line that is always
hooked to the internet. You district techie can tell you if you have that.
You will have to have a specific IP address assigned to the server. Once
again, you district techie can take of that. Finally, if you are all by
yourself, not running as a subset of an existing internet domain, you will
have to register your IP address. You will also probably want a domain
name. It cost $100 a year to register a domain name. Two years are paid
up front.
