Hold down the shift key as you boot. Open the HD from your CD boot. Remove
Foolproof and Undercover. reboot your machine. Now reinstall foolproof
and Undercover. You may even be able to just hold down the shift key as
you boot from the HD. I will go through the girations you described but
only for a couple of minutes at the most (IF holding the shift key will
work at all). If you tell you security programs to always open certain
windows to certain sizes aat boot and then do some management things and
then test under a restricted user, the desktop file can get weirded up. It
doesn't know for sure if a window should be oipen or not and keeps
re-reading the desktop file.
