I have had two computers and two modems on the same telephone line using a
common splitter that you can purchase from any discount store. As has
been mentioned in earlier messages, the only problem is that you cannot
use both modems at the same time. I never used an A-B switch.

One problem is that if you are using one of the modems and someone picks
up a telephone on the same line, your connection is broken.
