If you have not done too much with your machine since you trashed the files,
you can get them back. Norton Utilities, Disk Doctor has an Unerase feature
which is VERY successful at recovering lost, damaged or "trashed" files. The
problem is...if you have done a much work on you machine since you did this
they may have been "overwritten" and are therefore forever lost!
