We have a HyperDAT from APS. This system will take 60, 90, or 120 meter
tapes and with compression will handle 8G on 120m tapes. I'm using 90m
tapes right now, and the nominal capacity is 2G without compression.

You could look at a Jaz drive with 1G cartridges. Using the built-in
compression in something like Retrospect, or using StuffIt or one of the
other compressors you could probably double the capacity to 2G on average.
