Harry has hit the nail right on the head here. Find the tool for the task,
not a task for the tool.

By the way, the Mac has had multitasking since System 6 (MultiFinder), and
decent multitasking with threading since System 7. System 8 (Copland) will
have pre-emptive multitasking, which seems to be a big deal to some people,
but never really meant that much to me.
