Re: Good Keyboarding software

I just wanted to add a caveat that was mentioned in this group a few
months back when the same topic was discussed: i.e., don't expect any
typing program to teach typing. Typing is learned through dogged
practice day after day. The most a typing program can do is create a
familiarity with the keyboard. Speed is built up over time, and takes
a great deal of practice.

At our school we use Mavis Beacon and Type to Learn; I've not noticed
much difference in results. However, what creates the keyboard expert
is using the typing skills in Word Perfect or other word processing
program. I have students typing several pages of documents per week,
and it has made quite the typists out of them!

Good luck!
