I could use some help on either of the following:
The Special Populations (one of eight villiages) site of the Kentucky
Department of Educations Villages is trying to develop a standards rubric
for submitted material. If anyone has one in existance we would appreciate
your input. We plan on having several discussion (some chat) groups but
need ideas on how to evaluate material that is acceptable. This list is
excellent in how to moderate a list serve but how do we set standards as to
how to accept teaching strategies, personal opinions, high quality links,
etc... without bias and sensorship? If you have something in place please
reply. This can be shared with the other villages--prism, special
services, elementary,and all curriculum areas.
Also, we want to conduct a needs assessment online concerning what
educators, parents and persons with disabilites need access to. This
includes areas from adult education, special education, assistive
technology, minority, ESL, Deaf/Blind, physical disabilities, etc....
All of the villages will be up on June 30. Any suggestions that you have
will be greatly appreciated since I know that I'm posting to the experts.
I'm interested in the best links for this site as well.
Thanks in advance.
