Quicktime movies on a PC

I'm currently planning to implement the use of HyperStudio (for WINDOWS!) in
my school next year. I want the students (and teachers) to be able to
include short video clips. HyperStudio for Windows only recognizes video
clips in the Quicktime for Windows (.MOV) format. Have any of you created
video clips in that format? What hardware/software did you use? Did you
include sound?

We have a ComputerEyes digitizing board from Digital Vision. The software
that came with the board allows me to create and save short video clips, but
they're in the "Video for Windows" (.AVI) format. HyperStudio doesn't
recognize this format. I'm hoping there is a way to convert a video clip
from .AVI to .MOV format. Have any of you ever done *that*?

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.
