Over half the lab loaded with only a bit of trouble, i.e. had to toggle
all extentions to off. Half again with more trouble, i.e. had to do a
custom install with "sys resources" off, then continue to add sys
resources 6.06 + at the end. Boring but not all that much trouble.
(Forgot to say that the lab is not yet wired to a server. That's coming.)
Finally, though, and here's where I would appreciate some guidance from
those of you who are much more experienced than I am with the various
models of macs out there, and yes, of course there are far too many
models to choose from and know about. The last two machines would not
let me install from the Commands disc. Locked up in the middle of the
equation fonts folder. Not only that, but the screen frooze when I did a
hard escape and then on soft boot, the machine would not start-up from
the HD, i.e. they wanted to see a star-up floppy.
What gives? And what do I do to get Word to load? Any/every idea will be
much appreciated.
