Computer Integration vs Computer Education

I'm interested in starting a discussion on the pros and cons of Computer
Integration vs Computer Education. There is a case for both and both types
of education is needed.

Computer Integration - K-12 teachers using computers to enhance their subject
material such as math or history. Lesson plans focus on a specific subject
using the computer as a material or tool (eg using CD-ROM simulation or using
the internet to study the presidential elections through discussion groups)

Computer Education or Computer Literacy - Teaching students about word
processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet (including web page design),
computer history (important people and inventions relating to the computer),
programming, etc. Lesson plans focus on learning computer objectives (eg
spreadsheets (how to use formulas, how to make a graph))

Please respond to either EDTECH or myself with your pros and cons for each
side.
