Andrzej,

You and your friend should look for a telecommunication program
that supports the Z-modem protocol. Such packages are widely
included with modem purchase, and are available commercially
(Quick Link II is one I'm familiar with). May be some shareware
available, but I've not used it. Then, you must set the
two modems to use the same communication settings, and you will
be able to exchange files by telephone.
