I am new to this list, and since I haven't read most of your discussions
about HTML and programming, I hope I'm not stepping on any toes or
repeating anything.

I found that teaching HTML to my 5th graders last year worked well after
they had learned to create several HyperStudio stacks. Since we don't
have a modem in the room, they had to take my word for it that clicking
on text would lead them someplace else. It helped to be able to compare
pages to cards, etc.

Also, we did a little bit with HyperStudio's programming language,
HyperLogo. I plan to do more with it this year.
