Viewing a .gif e-mail attachment in Netscape

HI! Someone has sent me a .gif picture in my e-mail and I want to put it
in a directory.I use ( save as ) in Netscape and then it is written
(inbox).Every time I try to open it with a picture viewer It says
format unknown. What should I do?
