Position: Coordinator for Lab/Classroom Support
Appointment: Faculty, tenure track, annual appointment.
Starting Date: September 1, 1996
Job Description: Provide technical support for colleges and departments in the
design and installation of computer labs and high-tech classrooms; offer
training for faculty/staff in software applications and hardware use; oversee
the operation of T&IR distance education facility; coordinate with the campus
Facilities Planning & Management for lab/classroom projects; and other duties
as assigned.
Qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD is required in Computer Technology or other
relevant field. Also required is substantial hands-on experience in managing
lab/classrooms. Teaching experience is highly desirable. Applicants must
possess extensive knowledge of Windows and Macintosh platforms, Novell
NetWare, as well as instructional technology including CAI, multimedia,
authoring systems, and distance education. Applicants must possess
excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
Rank and Salary: Assistant Professor or higher, depending on qualifications
and experience; salary competitive.
