I am currently taking a graduate course from George Washington University
via distance education. The course is "Critical Issues in Distance
Education" and it is part of their Educational Technology Leadership
masters program. I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and the information.
But let me tell you although it offers me the convenience of studying at
home it poses a challenge of keeping organized and on schedule. We are
utilizing a video tape, web (study guides), and a listserv (for class
discussion). I decided to take the course because it was not offered in my
georgraphical area. In addition, I wanted to know if I could handle
getting a degree via distance education before I formally applied to GWU.
I will take another course Fall 96 while making my application to the
program. I would recommend the program to anyone, especially if you are
self-motivated.
I found out about GWU's program via MEU (Mind Extension University).
