Except that the Internet connection is not going to totally replace
books, the life expectancy of the computers is going to be less than
that of the chairs and desks, and it takes longer for a teacher to get up
to speed with online resources than it does to read a book.
Don't get me wrong- obviously I like these toys we play with and find
them useful in my classroom, but there are some genuine cost issues, both
obvious and somewhat hidden that we need honestly to address.
