Kathy:

I have the same computer sitting on the floor in my attic. I have a 2400bps
modem in it that I installed, and the communication software for it, that runs
under DOS. It may be hard to find a modem, internal/external, that will still
run under DOS 3.0, but she could upgrade the DOS to 5.0 or 6.0. I did and it
worked fine.

I am most concerned about the RAM test

Leading Edge
Phoenix 8088 ROM Bios
Version 3.00
Copyright 1984, 1985, 1986

Leading Edge Model D with Enhanced Video BIOS

RAM Test 152K

The least RAM should be 640, that is what this machine came with. If the
machine only has 152K it will not run any of the modem software. An old
version of Procomm would work fine, for any modem attached to the system.
