Hello,
I would use Pegasus Mail as it handles most attachments with a couple
of mouse commands. You can find it at
ftp://risc.ua.edu/pub/network/pegasus
It handles Powerpoint files easily (assuming large file attachments
aren't limiting to your system). But I have found that ftp tends to
be a better protocol for large files.
I have been using version 2.33 (winpm233.zip) with the 32 bit version
( I think that is wpm32wb3.zip in the same ftp directory)
added to the main application directory under the windows 95 OS. This
has been extremely stable and has all the mail functions that I need.
It works well in the networked or stand alone mode, has spell
checker, excellent address book, distribution listing, text macro
(glossary), built in encryption and loads of other useful
capabilities (including handling most types of attachements).
If you have any questions please contact me. I don't use Eudora lite
so I can't comment. Alternatively you might want to look into
something like LapLink as this works nicely over TCP/IP, IPX,
wireless and dial-up protocols.
regards,
Ismet
