Netscape Freezes

Is there anything I can do...?
Recently I installed the Apple Internet Connection Kit with Netscape 2.0
and have had frequent freezes of my machine while trying to connect ever
since. I have a Mac Performa 631CD with 8 mb of physical RAM increased
to 16 with virtual memory. Apple's SOS tech support told me extensions
were to blame, yet after turning everything off except the internet
essentials I'm still having troubles. One thing I have noticed by
checking the "About this Mac" window, is that Netscape uses *all* the RAM
provided for it. Slightly over 3 megs.
Here's what happens...
Using the Internet Dialer I connect to the Internet, use Netscape 2.0,
and then disconnect from the Internet. No problem. However, whenever I
try to reconnect to the Internet a second time, either the system will
freeze, the screen becomes garbled, or nothing happens and I must force
the Dialer to quit. Like I said, Apple thinks these are extension conflicts.
Can anyone help me? Thanks.
