Cinemar, near Portland, OR has a new product called "Visual
Venue", an authoring application employing a "location based" concept as
opposed to icon, card, and time-line approaches. Cinemar's url is
http://www.cinemar.com.
I have seen the Cinemar demo cd done by Intel Corp. using Visual
Venue, and it looks like the product has interesting potential for
interactive CAI applications or kiosk based presentations. I'm waiting to
receive a copy of the latest product rev to try it out here on our campus.
The company says soon it will have an educational price that will be very
attractive.
Oh - probably I should add here that I am not employed by the
company. I do know the founder, Andy Leonard as a fine person, but my
motivation at this moment is that of a contributor to the members of this
list who are or, like me, are planning on doing CAI authoring.
