Helen, I can appreciate your dilemma. Here are some suggestions.

1. Don't panic and give up. You have a wealth of talent and skills
to offer up.

2. You might consider learning html and posting a web page with your
cv on it. It is likely to be hit by some head hunters or recruiters
if properly indexed and submitted to search engines via SUBMIT.

3. You might try subscribing to a couple of other listservs.

a. subscribe to: listserv@news.jobweb.org
A listserv for career professionals, universities and recruiters.

b. subscribe to NETTRAIN - check search engine for address.

4. Visit my home page http://www.inasec.ca/com/btudin/tudmain.htm
and go to Job Quest for a useful set of links, many of which are
American which could help you search for the right position.

5. Become an Internet Consultant!

6. Don't lose your sense of humour :-)
