I've been asking occasional questions and notifying
list members of progress in connection with the
USDOEd-sponsored research project I've been working on, entitled
"Development of Neural Network Tools and Techniques for
Arithmetic Training of Children with Learning Disabilities:
Phase I".

The project was completed as of March 31, 1996, and I'm
pleased to announce a major update in the WWW report
on the project is now available. If you are interested,
go to the ANSR web site, below, and look under
"What's New?" and then "DOEd SBIR Project".

List members have been very helpful in providing information
and, in some cases, have participated in the project as
advisors. Thanks to all of you who've participated or
otherwise supported the effort. Thanks also to the
list managers, who're doing an excellent job for the benefit
of all of us.

Within a few days, I'll be signing off for the summer,
since I'm working on other projects. If Phase II
is selected for funding by the DOEd, I'll be back in the Fall.
While Phase II is pending, I'm accumulating comments and
making a list of teachers/schools that have tentative
interest in future research/testing associated with the
project.

Best wishes to all of you.
