Bill,
First of all, you do not need a special utility just to find out what IP
number the server assigned to you. Just go to the MacTCP control panel
while connected. It will be displayed in the IP address window.
If you want more than that, you could get a program called MacTCP
Watcher. It not only provides that information, but also has the
capability to test several things related to your connection.
