A number of our staff here reported this problem using ConfigPPP and at
first I didn't believe them but a similar message from me to this list last
year elicited a number of others with similar problems. The consensus of
their replies seemed to be that using Hard Close (rather than Soft Close)
was essential. Since we have told people to use this command we do not
seem to have had any repetition of the problems.
