|I'd like to hear from any Mac users who've had a virus on their computers
|and your experiences with antivirus software.

I've been responsible for a large number of Macs for several years now.
I've used SAM and Disinfectant, and I've had good luck with both. The last
time I had a virus on a Mac was about 4 years ago. We got a virus on two of
the Macs we allowed multiple users to use. The virus software (SAM) found
the virus during a start-up scan. We disinfected the system and rebuilt the
desktop. All better!

|Any problems with Disinfectant? How often do you update?

Use it all the time. Update as soon as I find a newer version available.
Also, rebuilding the desktop on a Mac at regular intervals (at least once
per week) helps to keep your machine well.

|I put a Junkie-infected disk into a Mac and ran Disinfectant 3.5. It
|didn't find any virus. Viruses are platform specific then?

Got that right. They are, indeed, platform-specific.
