Apple does know why screens on 5200s change to a pink color. The yoke does
not fit the CRT pins tight enough on some models. The Apple technician
will first try bending the pins out to get a tighter fit. If that doesn't
correct the problem, they will replace a circuit board. I think we have
had three 5200s with this problem.

I have schools running 5200s on both localtalk and ethernet without
problems. I think I shared the problem one of my school's had with LC III+
computers when we put ethernet cards in them (random freezes). It ended up
that Apple knew about the problem and replaced the mother boards outside of
warranty.

TyAnn mentioned that she wants to use the 5200 LC with a scanner and
something else for multimedia. Could the software for those applications
be causing the conflicts? Does TyAnn have other 5200s on the network? How
are they working? Is there another 5200 LC to swap with the troublesome
one?
