Anyone use paperport?

Most of my writing students turn in handwritten assignments. Can I scan
them into my Mac with paperport and then write comments on the margins or
between the lines? Can I word-process stuff on the scanned document? Does
the accompanying OCR software translate cursive into typed lines--like a
Newton? Or am I anticipating the next stage in software development. Is
there anyway that Paperport can help me grade papers on the computer?
