Hi. Since this is my area of expertise (one of many <snicker>), have you
heard of Tom Snyder Software? If you're interested developing creative
problem-solving and decision-making strategies through the use of
simulations, then Tom Snyder's Decisions, Decision series is for you.

It's based on the concept of the one-computer classroom. You facilitate
intra and inter cooperative group discussion, while the computer
simulation provides feedback/consequences for student group decisions.
Excellent coverage of topics in social studies and science. Great for
integrated curriculum.

We use it at the middle school and high school level. I suggest ordering
a Tom Snyder catalog. sigh. Would you believe I don't have one handy
right now? I'll post it e-mail if you're interested.

As to CDs, highly recommend 3D-Atlas, MS Encarta (Compton's/Grolier's are
nice too), and other subject area interactive CD-based programs. Combine
all this information and data in a hypermedia presentation using Roger
Wagner's HyperStudio 3.0.

Hope this is helpful,
