I want to wish you luck on finding your e-mail pals. What a great idea.
Have you thought about finding a school outside of the US. I lived in
Spain for a number of years and keep in touch with my friends in Madrid
through the Internet. Maybe you can find people in England, Australia or
who knows where else. Your kids could learn about another culture
through writing.

I was a high school Spanish teacher and I taught English to children in
Spain. I am now doing my doctorate so I can be a professor. I must say
that I miss teaching. Nothing is better than a creative teacher!!
