I don't now of any software that does a scan automatically after
downloading. The conventional wisdom has been to download into a folder
that is only used for downloads and scan them in the folder before you open
them. They shouldn't be able to cause you any problems before they are
opened. Somebody has already mentioned Disinfectant, if you need autoscan
for floppies or whatever you have to go with the commercial stuff like
Virex or SAM. tim
