Appleworks to Claris

In our district we are still running several sites that have both Apple II
and now-- new Mac -- platforms! We have most recently encountered problems
in using the Apple IIe Appleworks 2.0 or 3.0 files through the Claris
translators! We are getting a "Resource not available" error. We will
make some contacts with Apple and Claris, but wondered if anyone else has
experienced this phenomenon.
We do have ProDos File system installed in extensions, and have translators
in Claris folder! All files are showing up both on the desktop and in the
dialogue for OPEN in Claris! The process starts-- and then fails!
We have been successful in the past, but have experienced this as we have
upgraded machines to system 7.X or introduced new units! The problem is
the same whether using Claris 2.1 or 4.0 ! It is the same whether on
030-040 or PPC.
Send any ideas or solutions to me at my address. I will distribute the
solutions we find back to the List Serv ! My guess is there will be others
with this same "stumble"!
